POSITION SUMMARY The Project Accountant will oversee financial practices for HOK’s Indian operations and will partner with the senior leadership of the Indian business. Core responsibilities of this role include: oWorking closely with the Parent Company to implement local accounting procedures which adhere to company-wide policies oPreparing all project accounting records including budgets, invoices, and performance measurement reports oFull cycle financial accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and financial reporting oProtecting and preserving the assets of the organization PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES oPrepares all project billings to internal and external clients; maintains complete and accurate project accounting records oMaintains all financial accounting records; makes timely and accurate payments to consultants/vendors; monitors collections from clients; ensures accuracy of all financial records and provides all necessary financial records to Parent Company oCommunicates and analyzes financial performance of the Indian business unit to Parent company, the local Business Unit Management, and project leaders oWorks closely with BU leadership in the Business Forecasting process. Prepares and analyzes annual budgets and monitors for variances oDevelops and implements cost management, and control processes and policies as the organization grows oOversees the preparation of all required tax filings and local/statutory accounting reporting in conjunction with outside accounting firms
