POSITION TITLE: Global Product Business Lead (Marketing/Business Development) Gamiana, an online video games company is growing quickly and exponentially! Gamiana's Global Product business group defines the core product value proposition, developing the positioning, target audience and marketing strategies for a portfolio of products. Furthermore, you will be leading and innovating the management of the product development process, ensuring that products are completed on schedule, on budget, and to the specifications set forth by the business team leadership. Also, creating & executing on digital go-to-market plans, including P&L modeling and SWOT analysis will be part of your role. Finally, you will be leading and innovating around the management of the product development process with input from the leadership team and work on creative and interesting marketing initiatives. This strategic position will work with all cross functional partners and at all levels including technology personnel, outside and internal vendors, game players, community managers as well. The role will involve a combination of business development, marketing and project management related functions as well and exposure to many international 3rd parties as well. You will also do the following:
- Lead the management of all or part of the product development process beyond specification, ensuring that products are completed on schedule, and that licensed products meet our requirements, performance and quality expectations, and business goals
- Foster a culture of data review & analysis by helping to integrate data into key decision making process and championing the use of data/analysis across all areas of business
- Act as liaison with development, publishing, and licensed business partners
- Work in the exciting area of mobile and liaise with numerous mobile/telecom related entities
- May manage a team supporting the creation of marketing and promotional content that is delivered directly into a digital product or website.
- Drive build vs buy and licenses vs self-publish decisions.
- Structure and negotiate business deals and contractual terms.
- Research, analyze and make recommendations regarding current market trends and competitive activity to identify new product/program opportunities.
- Have regular contact with international business partners.
- Coordinate all aspects of business, marketing plans, presentations, modeling, and contract related matters What we are looking for:
• Independent, self-driven, can do and a "anything to win" mind set
• Strong analytical capabilities, including P&L, forecasting, reasonable use of Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation and organisational and management skills
• Some experience working with PR firms • Demonstrated experience in business management (though those with recent MBAs will be examined)
• Ability to manage a team in the future
• Digital commerce knowledge is a must - must be able to fully understand the Internet and what it means
• Strong interest in online video game entertainment Other Requirements
• 3-7 years of experience required - Bachelor's degree in business or related fields (commerce)
• And/or MBA strongly preferred - open to recent MBA graduates with exemplary skills
• Mobile background experience preferred
• Digital commerce experience or strong interest
• Experience with Excel and Powerpoint required
• Past negotiating experience or demonstrated ability to identify, initiate, and drive various business practices
