 Job Description
  In this position, the individual will lead the overall sales efforts in India, including defining the channel strategy, managing the sales aspects of regionalization, managing WOS and sell-thru, driving product sales mix in accordance to the corporate directions, and partner relationship management. The individual will lead a team of regional sales managers with frequent interactions with national distributors, city distributors and key eco-system partners to perform the role. Own the sales quota (in unit ST and revenue). Own the geo/channel expansion plan; prioritize and maintain a balanced development across the 4 regions. Own the channel strategy and management of national distributors and key retail partners. Own the relationship with partners/customers leading to deals/bundles opportunities. Work with the necessary support functions to achieve the desired sales mix and ASP. Play a key role in working with marketing and the outsourced agencies to drive & execute merchandising, promoter and retail development programs. Work under the guidance of the country manager to formulate the country sales plan and develop the sales metrics. Develop and manage the sales team to achieve the targets, both quantitative and qualitative, in respective regions. Develop the competency of the team to carry out the assigned responsibilities. Metrics include Country & region sales quota performance, Geo/channel expansion metrics, National retailer sales quote, Product/channel sales mix; ASP, Execution of the agreed channel plan and Retail run-rate vs. deals/bundles ratio. The position is reporting to the Country Manager, India. External linkages include National distributors, Key final-tier retailers, e.g. LFR, City distributors, Selected outsourced agencies and Partners/customers for deals/bundles. Internal linkages include Country manager, Region managers, Regional marketing mangers, APAC managing director, APAC marketing director, APAC product marketing managers and APAC training manager This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years work experience in sales and marketing. Experience of working with/in the distribution channel a must. Proven records in channel development and planning across a >12-month period. Proven records in managing a sales team with a national responsibility. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence both internal & external colleagues. Must be able to work independently with excellent self-discipline; always work with uncompromising integrity. People management and development experience. Ability and willingness to travel. Experience in the IT, mobile or consumer electronics industry preferred. Experience of working with an outsourced company preferred. Prior role with direct interaction with the regional/corporate team preferred.
