Key Skills :  A 1) Identify, develop and convert sales opportunities leading to new customer bookings or incremental bookings from existing customers. 2) Prepare and submit customer quotations or proposals, including solutions design and pricing with the input of other peer supervisors or managers. 3) Develop and maintain customer relationships and business network that keeps the company in the radar of potential customers and markets. 4) Conduct contract/price negotiations with customers as per established policies and if required, negotiate for procurement of services from suppliers and carriers. 5) Implement and update the sales process monitoring system in a timely and accurate manner. 6) Maintain and regularly update relevant tariff tables with competitive information on rates/routes for major forwarders and carriers. 7) Facilitate implementation of new customer projects through close coordination with the implementation teams, e.g. operations, customer service, finance and information technology 8) Support sales leads generated by overseas offices and assist to close the sale, capture the biz.• Skill Sets - Selling, Persuasion and Negotiation - Goal Setting and Drive - Analytical skills - People-to-people skills • Desired Competencies (Good to have) - Domain knowledge in shipping, airfreight, customs etc - Domain knowledge in at least one logistics vertical - Global business perspective and knowledge of international markets - Relevant work experience in sales in a large Freight Forwarder or in a established 3PL with strong customer network • Desired Competencies (Typical) - Excellent communications and marketing presentation skills - High level of IT literacy and familiarity with IT tools related to supply chain logistics - Resourcefulness, maturity and high level of initiative - Killer instinct, fire to generate new biz, highly energetic
