Job Description
Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications - List a few examples of tasks to be fulfilled
Facilitate and/or drive issue resolution through technical leadership and organization relationships
Interact directly with customers and the sales force, responding to technical information requests, design guidance inquires & problem reports.
Provide assistance to customers in the proper design, programming & installation of hardware & software platforms
Record & document customer communications via the issue tracking systems and product defect tracking systems
Develop tools, documentation (technical notes, whitepapers etc), reference systems, sample code and solution collateral to speed job functions and aid in knowledge transfer throughout Itron and to direct and indirect customers.
Responsible for execution of job responsibilities to relevant metrics and commitments
Ensure personal career development through regular participation in new product & technology transfer training, through attendance at any outside seminars & training programs coordinated by Itron, through self-directed exploration of available reference materials, and through seeking coaching and mentoring from management and other senior members of the organization
nsure the attainment and maintenance of Industry knowledge of emerging technologies and their impacts to integrated solutions based upon Itron products
